There are other ways of explaining away examples of communist leftist associations in Obama’s radical past, but the problem is, you can’t explain away it all. What the substantiable evidence indicates is a “pattern of behavior” that matches his known past. When you have such a strong overlap in current behavior, current associations, past behavior, past associations, and an accumulated record of statements that suggest to you that someone is who he appears to be; that’s what one should adjudge, until contradicting evidence is presented. I see no reason to believe that Obama has any feeling for America, its traditions, or its Constitution beyond sheer lip service. Nearly everything in his past and in the present points otherwise.

Not that this matters greatly to tens and tens of millions of Americans who are firmly in "What, me worry?" mode when making their serious and adult judgments about their country and its leaders.

Trillion+ dollar deficits, massive unfunded liabilities of Medicare and Social Security, organized labor gorging itself at the public trough, and national legislators who exclude themselves from the socialized health care disaster they inflicted on the rest of the country, among other things, concern them not at all.

What's the big deal about having a Marxist revolutionary with no paper trail and multiple fake Social Security numbers for a president? The one who won't salute when the national anthem is played.

As Investor's Business Daily observes, misdirection of the debate into the tangles and briars of "the economy, the stock market, female contraception, [and] Rush Limbaugh" doesn't diminish our fiscal peril.

This head in the sand approach to a massive problem is what has passed for the "normal state of affairs" ever since the inception of the Great [sic] Society.

I ran across an observation recently (whose source I cannot recall) that what passes for "normal" today really is a psychotic state. This psychosis manifests itself in the areas of unrestricted immigration, legal discrimination against whites, pandering to the worst of black delusions about the cause of the extraordinary pathology of the black underclass, constitutional inversion, judicial law making, the pointless war on drugs, hostility to free speech, adulation of the homosexual "life style," and the refusal to recognize Muslim hostility to infidels and the fundamental, irreparable Muslim incompatibility with Western culture and modernity itself.

Not to mention the election of Barack Hussein Obama, an oddity whose constitutional disqualification for the office of president is clear and whose origins are, to say the least, unclear even now, thanks to a disgraceful media complicity. As I like to say, I know of pedigree cocker spaniels with more paper credentials than Mr. Obama. But millions of Americans fall at his feet. The new normal.

Lawrence Auster writes extensively on the fatal disease of liberalism that has long since infected the West and the almost certain necessity of having to ride it to the point of civilizational catastrophe before we can be freed of its psychotic grip.

For the foreseeable future, we are wedded to dysfunction. Even at this late hour, Republican voters cluster around a moderate like Mitt Romney, yet another in the line of Dole-Bush-Bush-McCain would be and actual leaders who aspire to the highest office with no clue whatsoever about the destruction of the Republic of 1789 and the impending conversion of the United States into a third world glop.

The unique absence of these records from the file strengthens the argument that Obama was born somewhere other than Hawaii and perhaps some time other than Aug. 4, 1961.

I admire her for her courageous stand so at odds with the overwhelming majority of blacks who seem indifferent to the danger of tyranny.

Leftist denial.

Lawrence Auster puts his finger on what makes it impossible for realists (i.e., conservatives, traditionalists, reactionaries) to find common ground with leftists:

The essence of the left is to block out vast sectors of reality (e.g., the existence of evil and enemies; the existence of cultural differences, race differences, sex differences, ability differences; the realities power, etc.) and pretend that they don't exist.

Leftists are often highly intelligent people but that intelligence operates only in limited areas. The remaining areas are ones in which fascination with or fixation on the ideal predominate.

Why that is so is beyond my analytical competence. It seems as though idealists think that world peace and crime-free societies are attainable now because they have discovered novel theories of social and political control (e.g., public ownership of the means of production) in much the same way that scientific discoveries created vast new human opportunities. Once scientists reduced observations of the natural world to workable theories huge changes were possible.

So with social and political problems. New theories in these areas have similar potential to effect tremendous beneficial change and any who fail to sign on in the service of these theories are guilty of simple intellectual failure or willful obtuseness bordering on depravity. If tremendous social amelioration is possible through revolutionary thinking, opposition to revolution must be evil.

Corruption and misery do not come about because of evil, cultural differences, etc. but because non-leftists are the ones with the will to dominance, acquisitiveness, and indifference to environmental degradation. Evil after a fashion but, more properly, capitalist, nationalists, patriarchal, or Christian evil.

To leftists, misery is never the result of evil but is the result of opposition to the ideal. The conservative argues that misery is the result of denial of reality.

This still doesn't explain why leftists are so impervious to the concrete facts of existence. The attraction of the ideal is understandable but not the ability to block out facts that land on your doorstep like Monty Python's familiar "16 tons."

The entire 20th century was a time in which the horrendous consequence of governmental power were meticulously documented, yet leftists in the 21st century rush to hand ever more power to governments as though governments can always and forever be trusted never to abuse power. The same denial is evident throughout the West in the face of the clear failure of the welfare state.

Only Alexander Solzhenitsyn's "pitiless crowbar of events" will be sufficient to break through the shell of this kind of denial.

And the question remains, why would Obama agree to a forged birth certificate? He knew the media would protect him, but why do it unless there is something to the story that he was in fact not born in Hawaii?^[1]

It's a given that Obama's White House web site "birth certificate" (Certificate of Live Birth) is a forgery. Thus, the next question is why Mr. Obama thought it necessary to provide it.

Oddly, the forgery itself is conclusive proof of Obama's constitutional ineligibility for the office of president, the man named as his father being a non-citizen and all. Right out there in front of man and God.

In a nation not besotted by bullshit that alone should have guaranteed Obama a career as an ineffectual U.S. senator drifting forever in a Sargasso Sea of "presentness." But . . . somehow this inconvenient parentage is a guaranteed skate in our Constitution-optional nation.

So, given the gold-plate guarantee of a MSM free pass on that issue (natural born citizen), what then would be the BFD about having a birth certificate from Hawaii?

Since the gravamen of Obama's claim to eligibility is not his being a natural born citizen but his being a citizen by birth on American soil, it must be that a forged "birth certificate" showing birth on U.S. soil overcomes the problem of being born on foreign soil, possibly a distinctly alien place filled with putative relatives in polygamous marriages or living in houses with chickens (free-range) underfoot, and having to take additional awkward later steps to elect U.S. citizenship.

Even the round-heeled U.S. MSM must have been assumed to be unwilling to sell out the Constitution when faced with such a oh-so-foreign aroma to Obama's candidacy.

Either that or Obama's actual father was someone whose identify, if known to the electorate, would guarantee electoral failure.

At any rate, such are the measures needed to ring fence the truth about Barack Hussein Obama, who has fewer papers than a pedigree cocker spaniel.

A lot of other people were necessary to carry off this deception and non-reportage (including most conservatives). Who they are and why they have acted as they did are fascinating questions. On the issue of why, I vote for the need to pander to blacks. As we always do. Black? Ipso facto legit. White? Ipso facto not so much.
