The attackers reportedly belong to the influential group Jamaat-e-Islami, the third largest political party in the country. Don't look for them to be expelled from the party any time soon. Or even prosecuted.
What a concept!
Another Christian was stabbed to death there in 2003 after being tied "crucifixion style" to his bed.
You have got to love these guys.
Doesn't everything that's the least bit threatening to Islam lead to murder or vicious repression?
Answer: "yes."
Muslim authorities lack any confidence in their religion and must viciously attack any attempt to leave it or draw adherents away. It's up to Muslims to prove that moderation in Islam has a voice and that the majority doesn't covertly support the lunatics.
