A blood-drinking people.

According to Haaretz.com, two suicide bombers were videotaped before they went on their mission in 2004 and the videos were later posted on an Hamas web site.

The bombers were irritated with the Israelis for some reason. Unfortunately, their insensitive, "over the top" rhetoric reflects very poorly on suicide bombers as a whole:

The video shows Idham Ahmed Majila and Maumin Rajab Rajab, who blew themselves up at the Karni crossing at the end of 2004. "My message to the hated Jews: There is no God but Allah," Majala says. "We will hunt you everywhere, when you wake and when you sleep. We are a blood-drinking people and we know that there is no better blood than Jewish blood.

"We will not leave you alone until we quench ourselves with your blood and we will quench the thirst of our children with your blood. We will not rest until you leave the lands of the Muslims." Rajab, the second terrorist, says: "By the life of Allah, we will destroy you. We will blow you up. We will take our revenge on you. We will purify our land of you, pigs, who have defiled our land. By the life of Allah, we will take our vengeance. We are carrying out this operation as harsh revenge against the sons of monkeys and pigs."
OK. Here's what we think. Maybe it's just us, but doesn't this border on hate speech?

Are we right?!!

Also, we would definitely have liked more specifics on how the Jews are going to be forced out of the "land of the Muslims" by small amounts of dynamite hand-delivered by Arab teenagers.

Like, you know, this "land purification" deal is interesting but seems not to contemplate the use of armor, infantry, artillery, or tac air. These military tools are quite popular these days with people with territorial ambitions (or an irrational attachment to where they happen to live at the moment) and there's some evidence that their employment is strongly correlated with battlefield success. Yet . . . Messrs. Majila and Rajab are under the impression that the expense and difficulty of employing these tools can be avoided by splattering their grr cross guts over the occasional strategic Israeli pizza parlor or coffee bar.

Does this signal the end of the IDF as a fighting force to you?

Finally, the late Mr. Rajab seems to have missed the irony of its having been the Israeli pigs and monkeys who succeeded in making monkeys out of Hamas, Fatah, and assorted Arab powers every time they decided to take on the grown ups in Israel.

But the teen jihadis do get high marks for verbal imagery, even if it is a bit on the "strong" side. It's short, punchy, doesn't beat around the bush, and just doesn't leave the viewer asking himself, "What is this fellow trying to tell me?"

Overall score: A+ for imagery, C- for logic, F for ops planning.

With luck, someone at the Hamas head shed will see the Haaretz article. As long as those videos are posted on the Hamas web site without their knowing about it, it makes it look like Hamas approves of that "blood-drinking people" rhetoric.

Hello, Maya. You raise a valid point about sources.

Of course, the Colonel has relied on Haaretz.com, which has not favored us with a link to the Hamas site on which it reports the videos were found. To our knowledge, Haaretz is a reputable newspaper and we think we are justified in relying on its accuracy.

Not to worry, though. The ever-vigilant and perspicacious Col. Bunny was able to find a link to the actual video on Palestinian Media Watch (h/t to Jihad Watch), which video actually shows the mother of one of the bombers helping him on with his explosive belt.

Talk about a death cult, where even a mother . . . a mother . . . will aid and abet her son clearly bent on some insane suicide mission!

So, if the Colonel was gullible in relying on Haaretz.com accurately to report this event, we have at least been vindicated by our further diligent research to respond to your criticism.

We note too, the following quote from the former director of the U.S. C.I.A.:

The imam of Al-Haram in Mecca, (Islam's most holy mosque), Sheikh Abd Al-Rahman al-Sudayyis, was barred from Canada last year after the translation of his sermons calling Jews "the scum of the earth" and "monkeys and pigs" who should be "annihilated." Materials distributed by the Saudi government to the Al-Farouq Masjid mosque in Brooklyn call for the killing of homosexuals and converts from Islam to another religion.

The Elephant in the Middle East Living Room. Watching Wahhabis." By R. James Woolsey, NationalReviewOnline, 12/14/05.

With that kind of rhetoric coming from the "most holy" mosque of Islam, you can hardly blame us for concluding that the overheated rhetoric in the video is just ordinary jihadispeak and something not at all unusual to hear from the lips of brainwashed fools. What the young men said is virtually identical in tone and substance to what the fruitcake Islamic leadership is broadcasting for consumption by, if we may say it, the gullible youth of Araby.

It was not gullible of us to believe that such children can utter such bizarre thoughts.

Far from the Colonel's being naïve, we think it would be naïve to believe that the rhetoric floating around jihadi circles is not as wild as this.

Having a clear picture of the jihadi mindset helps us to devise appropriate measures to kill or otherwise neutralize these monsters. We like the "kill" part the best.

The jihadis should enjoy a taste of their own medicine.

Wow, such peace loving folk they are. And they complain about cartoons? This is why we developed small tactical nukes.
