"We must prepare ourselves to rule the world . . . ."Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, chief Iranian fruitcake, quoted in "An 'Intolerable' Threat. What a world with an Iranian nuclear weapon would look like." Wall Street Journal, 2/3/06.
Consider the following quote from the same editorial:
The timetable under which the Iranian threat operates also needs to be reconsidered. For years, advocates of diplomacy have claimed the nuclear danger lies far away--a decade, if last year's leaked U.S. National Intelligence Estimate is to be believed. Yet last month Mohamed ElBaradei, the director general of the IAEA, told Newsweek that if the Iranians "have the nuclear material and they have a parallel weaponization program along the way, they are really not very far--a few months--from a weapon."The fools who argued that the Iranians were years away from getting a nuclear weapon deserve contempt for having squandered the opportunity to deal with the threat from this fascist regime years ago. Iran is and always has been at war with the U.S. and the West in general and it is a great failing of the West that it has not held Iran to account for its sponsorship of state terror.
