War on Islam.

"While U.S. leaders may frame the conflict as a war on terrorism, people in the Islamic world clearly perceive the U.S. as being at war with Islam," Steven Kull, editor at the Washington-based group, said in a statement.

Apparently this is some kind of a surprise to these morons.

Islam's been at war with the West in general, and the U.S. in particular, since before there was sand in Sahara. Muslims have singlehandedly turned terrorism and the massacre of innocents into an art form, and every basic tenet of Islam drips with venomous hatred of the infidel and raises war on him and his enslavement to the level of a sacrament.

But, friends, it's cry me a river if the West takes notice and commences to kick the ____ out of Muslims.

This is just too, too rich.

Of course, we're at war with Islam. The really awful part of the whole enterprise is that it's not a wide enough war against Islam and we haven't yet humiliated the morons who think their dreary, desert doggrel is a gift to the world rather than the awful curse that it is.

This miserable excuse of an ideology masquerading as something spiritual and holy has got to be stopped and stopped now. And war against Islam is the answer. If you want to see what pussyfooting around this issue leads to, read today's news from France, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and Britain. Their lovely way of life is at risk from the millions of Muslims they foolishly allowed into their cities, towns, and villages.

War -- brutal, vicious, unrelenting war, and nothing but war -- will keep that from happening to us.

Truly great nations have been enormously forgiving of the most appalling crimes and listened raptly to utterly cheesy political drivel about Israel, Crusaders, and jihad "the peaceful inner struggle." Tra la la.

Muslims fret and mewl about Crusaders? Let's show them Crusaders of their worst nightmares.

"Fanatical Islamist ideologues" are the enemy according to Mr. Chertoff. We say, anyone who calls himself a true Muslim is an enemy of everything that Westerners hold dear. This is a category that sweeps much wider than "fanatical Islamist ideologues."

If someone is a sort of Episcopalian/Unitarian-type kinda, sorta Muslim who only goes to services on Yom Kippur, well, maybe this kind of "Muslim" is not a threat to the West. Good luck surviving any charges of polytheism, blasphemy, or apostasy, however. But that's another matter.
