We hear from various fools what a debt we owe to Islam for its glorious contribution to all mankind. Is it that I'm just a meanspirited prick that I can't for the life of me come up with one rivet or one chord that Muslim science or art contributed to this grand view of the earth and man?
Your Neanderlithic Colonel, rather, thinks much more how all this will surely be extinguished under a stink of backwardness, lies, and distilled malevolence were Muslims to prevail in their clash with civilization.
What sane person thinks that there is one damn zipper, knob, or dial that Muslims contributed to this, let alone an engine design, an advanced adhesive, or something wonderously digital?
Or this? What does the Islamic world contribute that is even remotely as majestic?
Or as creative as this?
What, in fact, is there that is Islamic that is, today, a marvel . . . except . . . the Muslim capacity for viciousness and backwardness?
Oh, wait! The Muslim capacity to utter and cling to utter bullshit is a marvel.

We were once told that Muslims invented both zero and algebra. In point of fact, they took both from the Indian subcontinent and "filed off the serial numbers." No other intellectual or technological advance has ever been credited to Muslims, even fallaciously.
A regressive, oppressive creed like Islam simply cannot tolerate innovation. When people get to thinking for themselves, you can't know where it will end!
It is worse than Islam being backwards and malevolent, although it surely is both. It is that Islam poses an existential threat to freedom-loving people. That's thee and me, and quite a few other Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, and atheists who just want to live their lives in peace.
Our president, who has repeated the lie that Islam is a "religion of peace," is partly to blame for our lack of will in Iraq and wherever else we face militant Islam -- including here at home; every mosque is a potential terror cell and funding source for jihad.
Islam, in short, no matter where it is around the globe, is a threat to world peace.
Always has been; always will be unless and until they scrap or radically revise their "holy" Koran.
Until then, it is up to us to stop them.
I agree with you, Jack. My post only highlights what would be suddenly excised from Western life -- all art, music, science, and intellectual life of any integrity.

If we continue to pussyfoot around on the issue of the absolute incompatibility of Islam and Western values, we will fret to our deaths over the awfulness of discriminating about someone else's "religion."
Islam is a frightful retrograde force, as Churchill put it, and unlike any other real religion. Bring in Hindus, Bhuddists, and Bahais and you have people willing to contribute to their new home and people who are uninterested in subversion or killing off people in the host country.
Bring in Muslims and you import a profound pathology.
Any Muslim who espouses death for apostasy, the inferior status of women and infidels, the applicability of sharia, or polygamy should have his citizenship or other legal status revoked.
Multiculturalism makes us -- collectively -- leary about discriminating against any "religion." That hesitancy in the face of such an obviously backward political doctrine is Exhibit A for the proposition that multiculturalism is a corrupt concept.

This sums up the problem for Muslims when Muslims leave Islam:
