Three amigos -- Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia.

The war in the Middle East . . . is a regional war [and] cannot be analyzed at the level of the individual terrorist groups . . . . The organizing center is . . . a "directorate" located in Iran, that works closely with Iranian intelligence organizations . . . . Those organizations, in turn, work with their counterparts in other friendly countries.

. . . German and Italian court documents . . . proved [the late Abu Musab] Zarqawi, operating from Tehran, had organized a European terrorist network.

. . . Hezbollah is the operational glue that binds together the various terrorist factions on the ground in Iraq.
Iranians, Syrians, and Saudis are in it together. Could we now have policies that are anchored on this bedrock principle, please?

(Mr. Ledeen says it's not all Saudis are but a "significant group." Draw your own conclusions on that point.)
