Larry Elder is a man of integrity. Listen to him to hear how someone with even just an ounce of statesmanship in him would approach the issue of race, race hustlers, and race demagogues.[1] Compare how he deals with these issues with how Mr. Obama ducks and weaves on them.
Obama wants us think he's reaching for the stars but he's not.
He joined Trinity United Church of Christ to gain credibility among black voters in Chicago. Now that he's running for an office where the electorate is comprised of the whole country, what was an advantage for local office is now a deadly liability.
Obama knew beyond a shadow of a doubt who Jeremiah Wright was when it suited him to be seen with Wright. The reason Obama can't exhibit the elegance that Elder does is that he knows that he cannot repudiate Wright without raising the question of why he promoted Wright so aggressively as his spiritual mentor.
The reason Obama has to expend so much capital on the proposition that he only just now realized what Wright was capable of saying, is that he can't endure the inevitable conclusion that he sat through innumerable sermons by Wright and they all resonated in him to the core.
Obama's writings are fraudulent. The omit a frank revelation and discussion of his core beliefs. We are treated to some smoke and mirrors about Obama's wrestling with deep questions of who he is. But, truth be told, there was a decision in that wrestling match and Obama has not been honest enough to tell us who won and what the winner actually believes. Ergo, a presidential campaign that is as incomplete and fraudulent as his books. Obama talks about "hope" and other cotton candy platitudes because the reality of his real beliefs and his real agenda cannot endure the light of day.
Obama may be a decent man at heart. I genuinely think that he is. He has, however, voluntarily sat through 20 years of indecency flowing from the mouth of Jeremiah Wright. This is an absolute disqualification for the office he seeks. His association with and approval of Wright is evidence of a smallness of spirit and a colossal failure of vision. America is much grander than this small man.
