Victor Hanson has written an insightful piece at the ever-excellent Investors Business Daily on the important issues that are not being raised and discussed in the current campaign for the most important office in the nation. We are cursed at this historical juncture with Romper Room politics and a Dick and Jane mainstream media with the exception, temporary I'm guessing, of George Stephanopoulos and Charlie Gibson.
If the planning for the invasion of Normandy on D-Day had proceeded in the same fashion as the present U.S. presidential campaign, Eisenhower, Churchill, and FDR would have spent all their time arguing about the deterioration of British roads and bridges due to the increase in Allied military traffic.
