A blog about Islamic intolerance and fanaticism; socialism; communism; government stupidity; and lying weasels everywhere, hopefully couched in vibrant and literate English and foreign words that make us look good.

What stirs the soul of Obama?
The Man from Nowhere with his Harvard Law and Columbia degrees was utterly at a loss to know how to respond to our national anthem while campaigning, you’ll recall.
I refresh your memory of Mr. Obama energizing his base:
Compare this conduct with what is depicted here:
"Discovered Fervor." By Christopher Taylor, Word Around the Net, 7/8/09.
I saw that second photo: I'd hoped that Obama postured that way to the playing of the American national anthem there in Moscow. I prayed that to be the case.
Against all odds, and then some, evidently. What blasphemy, what derilection, what lackofballs.
Amen to that, LM. Everything we know about this man reveals that he's pulled away from the natural feelings of patriotism that a citizen should have. Hostile political systems, hostile theology, race hostility, ruinous debt, destructive government intervention -- these are his mother's milk. OF COURSE, he would reverently salute the soldiers of a foreign state. They fought terrible battles and it's appropriate to recognize their bravery.
But render the most basic salute to his own country and its institutions, such as any normal American would hundreds of times throughout his life? No, that he had to think about apparently.
We haven't begun to understand this man's inner agenda.
Obama is sloppy about protocols and appropriateness, but somehow he has the swagger to pull it off without the general criticism usually directed at politicians. If there's an agenda here, it's a kind of "enabling". I'm Canadian, and I think foreigners can see the broad sweep of pandering afforded to him by the global press and especially the American press. Even rock stars are scrutinized more than him...I think it's a dangerous. It's a kind of flocking mentality that his supporters were groomed into without actually knowing how it happened or even why.
