The secret follower.

Here, in its crystal clear essence, is the correct blueprint for our future conduct of the Long War and the reason for why there is no way in hell we will follow it in the near future:
[Jihadist lunacy is] out there singing to lost souls all over the world. It will not go away. And when they act in greater numbers, how we will respond? With a deeper kowtow, inviting the sword to the neck, or with the ruthless profiling, exiling, rendition, and assassination that we know could snuff the movement out? We are doing a little of the assassination now, but it only brings fresh, and angrier leaders to the top. It is not nearly enough. We should be shooting pirates on the high seas. We should try and execute everyone in Guantanamo, then bring in a new lot. We need to show seriousness.

As we act against the threat, we must realize it is not only abroad. The latest terrorist was recruited in London. We must deny the staging places, (including the one by the WTC in NYC), remove or incarcerate radical imams preaching in the West, and counter the preachings [of] evil with our own preachings of resolve, identifying the enemy and reading history honestly. We must repudiate the coward’s history of Obama, read in Cairo, which will appease no one, only encourage the march against us. These things are imperative to win the Long War, which is essentially a war of ideas, like the Cold War. We can also lose, you know, and that will not be a pretty thing.

Indeed, we are extra vulnerable now because we did not fully win the Cold War. We defeated the powers overseas, but we allowed a stalemate on the home front, and the old enemy within has happily allied with the new, seeing fresh hope for its cause and raising one of its secret followers all the way to the White House. But that is another story.
Other measures (e.g., immigration denial) are necessary to defeat or isolate Islam [sic], with which, in its present form, decent people cannot coexist, but there's no need to go into that here.
