Gasoline from coal.

Down from $17,000 per barrel.

Details: "Texas university has eureka moment for coal-to-gas. Scientists in Texas say they have found a way to convert coal into gasoline at a cost of less than $30 (U.S.) a barrel - with zero release of pollutants." By Neil Reynolds, The Globe and Mail, 3/17/10.

Let's hope the government steps in immediately to put an end to this foolishness. Let this sort of thing go on for too long and the next thing you know they'll be building nuclear power plants.

Al muro!
