Alan Sullivan has an interesting post on effective actions we could take to improve our situation and on the coming train wreck.
The actions we could take now (which he republishes from elsewhere) are refreshing for their simplicity and for being so unlike the measures proposed by our deliberately obtuse politicians. One simple action, a five-year moratorium on useless environmental impact studies, is light years from the nonsense of fretting over executive compensation, speculating about Kagan’s sexuality, and ensuring that Somali goat herders get to live in the home of their dreams.
Nothing monumentally original. Just some common sense ideas.
I like Mr. Sullivan’s prose. He has a calm, matter of fact style that I find soothing. Mr. Rogers with a sharp eye.
