The crumbling Mandate of Heaven.

I’ve written before of the Chinese political event whereby moribund dynasties fall because, for rational and irrational reasons, the people slowly come to realize that all is not right with the emperor and spontaneously withdraw their assent to be ruled by him.

Below, Pat Condell speaks of European governments defending multiculturalism with restrictions on “hate” speech, allowing corrupt judicial proceedings, and encouraging leftist thugs to attack critics. In this he sees the crumbling of the current rulers’ power:

Note that the term “far right” is a deliberate leftist obfuscation to draw attention away from the violent thuggery of the left. Nazis are termed rightists and fascists in contradistinction to left totalitarians who, being on the other end of the spectrum, must thus be non-violent and as cuddly as a sleepy puppy. It’s a taxonomy I don’t like to encourage but Pat Condell takes it a step further and turns it back on the leftist thugs by describing them as the New Right. In effect, they are the distillation of all the pustular trends of modern European political life.

So, point taken. In truth, though, the AntiFa scum are the true face of the left today. This is a valuable video in its own right but don’t lose sight of the fact that communism and fascism were separated at birth but their older brother away at Harvard is socialism. It’s a family affair and, as William F. Buckley said of our two main parties, you can’t run a strand of dental floss between them, the connection is so tight.

As for Condell’s point about Europeans finally waking up, I think it’s true. As commenter republicanmother at Washington Rebel observed, once you begin to doubt that your leaders are fundamentally loyal to the nation, your mind goes down new and very different paths. We see it here in the U.S. Last night Marc Levin said of Mr. Obama that there’s just something that’s no right about the man. What many are beginning to see is that what’s “not right” about him is that his loyalties are to something utterly foreign to the American nation. Once that idea resonates with you, you’re done. You can’t go back to your previous comfortable view.
