Progressivism's lie.

The Peace Corps was built on the moral and physical fetishization of the exotic. The orientalism of a liberalism that claims to be progressive, yet worships at the altar of reactionary cultures.

This is a thought that decent people need to repeat to themselves 10 times a day. "Progressive" sounds like the essence of modernity but it's anything but. It idealizes the primitive and considers what is not primitive (and what has been created with great effort and skill) as corrupt and something that can be destroyed or abandoned on a whim. Recall Obama's loudly proclaimed intent to fundamentally transform America.

Progressives are blind to – or obscure – the necessary underpinning of any system they work to establish: compulsion. And they area indifferent to or deny the slaughter, torture, destruction, and degradation that were the hallmark of the "progressive" regimes of the 20th century, by which I mean the far left regimes of that century, the National Socialists, the Russian communists, the Chinese communists, the Khmer Rouge communists, and Cuba.

Radical leftists are unconsciously or consciously be at war with the facts of human nature, economics, and what makes for civilized living. Only a person suffering from a severe mental disease could maintain a state of unconscious non-perception and non-understanding; and only a depraved mind would consciously deny the truth of the communist horrors of our age and seek to destroy our Western civilization that is manifestly superior to any other in the history of the world.
