Shades of Bibi.

A PLEASANT WHIST PARTY.

The East Lincoln Whist club is composed of ladies, and enters a great deal into the social life of that part of the city. The ladies challenged the gentlemen to a game of whist, which challenge was accepted and they met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin SMITH, 2920 R street. Mrs. J.C. SALSBERRY and Dr. HOLYOKE were prize winners. The ladies defeated the gentlemen at every turn and gave them many pointers on how to play whist.

The following ladies and gentlemen comprised the party: Mr. and Mrs. L.C. PACE, Mr. and Mrs. BAIN, Mr. and Mrs. S.H. HALE, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. SALESBERRY, Mr. and Mrs. H.B. SAWYER, Mr. and Mrs. Fred THOMPSON, Mr. and Mrs. W.B. HUMPHREY, Mr. and Mrs. George SPENCER, Mr. and Mrs. J.T. McDONALD, Mr. S. GUY A. BROWN, Mrs. O.R. STEVENS, Mrs. H.M. RICE, and Messrs Dr. HOLYOKE, Charles PACE and O. McCUTCHEON.
