And that wall is . . . where?

Ann right on target, as usual.
No one voted for Trump because of the “Access Hollywood” tape. They voted for him because of his issues; most prominently, his promise to build “a big beautiful wall.” And who’s going to pay for it? MEXICO!

You can’t say that at every campaign rally for 18 months and then not build a wall.

Do not imagine that a Trump double-cross on the wall will not destroy the Republican Party. Oh, we’ll get them back. No, you won’t. Trump wasn’t a distraction: He was the last chance to save the GOP.

Millions of Americans who hadn’t voted in 30 years came out in 2016 to vote for Trump. If he betrays them, they’ll say, “You see? I told you. They’re all crooks.”

No excuses will work. No fiery denunciations of the courts, the Democrats or La Raza will win them back, even if Trump comes up with demeaning Twitter names for them.

It would be an epic betrayal — worse than Bush betraying voters on “no new taxes.” Worse than LBJ escalating the Vietnam War. There would be nothing like it in the history of politics.

"Not Building the Wall IS a Government Shutdown." By Ann Coulter, Human Events, 4/26/17 (emphasis added).

President Trump wants the wall. The Rove Republicans do not.

The Rove Republicans control the funding that could be used to BUILD the wall.

God damn every one of them straight to hell where they belong.

And God damn every filthy maggot pig who enables them.

That's the gist of the issue of course. Trump wrote a few checks during the campaign that he won't be able to cash as he made it sound like he could repeal Obongocare and build the wall on his own.

I don't know whence this insane desire to commit suicide as a nation by importing that part of the third world that finds it convenient to show up in Minneapolis and Denver. The Congressional Republicans have it in spades.

Still, I scratch my head over Trump's continuing the madness in Syria and deciding out of the blue to take on the North Korea issue. That wasn't discussed in the campaign and the wall was yet Trump's all hot to trot on NK and I hear nothing from him on the wall. No speeches, no pressure on the RINOs, just silence and passivity. I don't get the impression that Trump has any short list of priority items.

The Democrats and the Rove Republicans, , wants them some One World Government. As do their Deep State enablers. President Trump as Reince Priebus on his staff to work "deals" with Congress. Unfortunately, Lyin' Ryan and Post Turtle have no interest in passing anything that could help President Trump move his agenda. And they would rather lose seats in BOTH houses next November rather than help Make America Great Again. God damn every one of them straight to hell.

On the other hand, the Deep State, the Democrats, and the Rove Republican bastards have no problem with him standing against Assad and against the Norks. So he does the best he can with the God damned filthy maggot bastards that he has available.

Agreed except on whether he's doing the best he can. He still has that deer in the headlights mien and the best he can do by way of taking it to the people is tweets and a couple of good speeches, one of which was overseas.

No one is forcing him to give free hand to military commanders to pursue policies of Obama and the neocons. Or to confront NK. If we have vital interests in the M.E. let him tell us what those are and why he's pursuing Obama's goals.

It isn't about collusion with the Russians. It's about the left not liking the result of a legal election and wanting to change the result based on lies. There's speech no. 1 for him. Next, he can talk about "health care" not being mentioned in Art. I, Sect. 8. Then he can send the military to the southern border instead of the Syrian or Russian ones. This is not a man who's thinking strategically. It doesn't matter if the DS, the Dems, or Rove Republicans have no problem with him standing against Assad. The issue is does he have a problem with it and so far it seems he doesn't. With luck he's worked something out with Putin but I doubt it. Trump will have to clear it with Tel Aviv anyway.

Sadly, at this point -- with all political parties in a race to the bottom, widespread corruption, and the will of the people being seen as a joke to our would-be rulers -- the only thing that can actually save America and return us to greatness is a grassroots revolution....yes, of the bloody kind. Bodies hanging from lampposts, firing squads, prisons, and deporting lots and lots of people. Just sayin'...

Mr. Shukup, as has been observed many times in comments here and there on the web, we won't be voting ourselves out of this. Trumps is supposedly the last word on voter rebellion but it's pretty thin gruel, though God speed to him. He was basically tossed into a sea of timidity and accommodation and God forbid anyone should have allies like the congressional Republicans. Nope. Trumps out there by himself. Moreover, it was a near thing that got him elected. We were a whisker away from Pres. Hillary and she would have been far worse than Obama. He hated America as she does but she would have brought corruption, a native viciousness and a cultivated far-left agenda to the fray and then that would have been the ball game.

The only thing that made me somewhat phlegamatic about her ascension was the thought that the Dems would have eight years of Obongo and then another Dem for president and the economic collapse that seems to be in the cards (IMO) would have landed squarely in her lap. As it is, the left will blame any such mess on Trump and Republicans, treacherous as they are, and another clear object lesson in progressive destructiveness will be lost.

There won't be any principled opposition to the warfare/police state coming out of Establishment ranks. Maybe there are multiple Tommy Robinsons, Geert Wilders, Nigel Farages, and Paul Westons who will spring up but I rather doubt it. I think it will be a giant cat fight with plenty of violence and chaos and who the heck knows what will come out the other end. I'm far from confident that anything like the original republic will reappear.

It was a grand experiment but the Republic could not withstand the gibs me dat mentality, hate-filled minorities, a tidal wave of uninvited foreigner parasites and job stealers, and a native Treason Class that loathes the Constitution and our European roots.
