For your consideration.

Exceptional articles I recommend to you:

"Russian Hysteria." By Southern Sage, The Burning Platform, 7/21/18:

These damn Russians are so sneaky, so devoid of decency, so violent, so crazed, that they have dared to put their country right smack dab in the middle of our overseas military bases! Words fail me. We will show those Red bastards!
Southern Sage is cavalier about Trump’s character but has an excellent perspective on post-communist Russia and the anti-Russian hysteria.

"Trump Is Israel’s 'Useful Idiot.'”" By Philip Giraldi, Information Clearing House, 7/20/18.

America has no conceivable national interest implicated in our war on Syria. As I've said before, Assad is exactly the kind of Arab leader normal American leaders would pray for. By any standard short of "Must be perfect."

However, understand our being at the beck and call of Israel and its Jewish allies in America and it becomes clear what we are about. Israel is obsessed with the threat from Hezbollah and Iran and does not wish to see ISIS defeated in Syria. It wishes for Syria to be in the hands of Sunni salafists to prevent Iran from easily supporting Hezbollah.

And we are happy to oblige:

US planners could have indeed bombed convoys of ISIS fighters moving across the open desert from Raqqa to assault Palmyra, but chose not to. The LA Times reported of this period that “as Islamic State [ISIS] closed in on Palmyra, the U.S.-led aerial coalition that has been pummeling Islamic State in Syria for the past 18 months took no action to prevent the extremists’ advance toward the historic town — which, until then, had remained in the hands of the sorely overstretched Syrian security forces.["][1]
Mr. Van Wagenen’s series on Syria is also highly recommended.

Israel is free to make its own calculations of who and what are threats to it. They chose their particular neighborhood of their own free will. But Israel’s security or economic well being are not our affair. But Sheldon Adelson, single largest donor to Trump and the Republicans, makes sure that they are.

Also recommended is "The machiavelian threefold game of the neoconservatives." By Laurent Guyénot, Voltaire Network, 5/27/13. All you could ever want to know about neoconservatives.
