“Turkey is the problem.”

And Israel.

This article is outstanding and should be the starting point for anyone seeking to understand our greasy, anti-Assad crusade in Syria:

"Wild Conspiracy Theory? The Truth Behind The Biggest Threat To The 'War On Terror' Narrative." By Cynthia Chung, ZeroHedge, 11/3/20.
Gen. Flynn's insight, common sense, and efforts to avert disaster in Syria are hightlighted, as are the integrity and common sense of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey and Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel. As is our churlish treatment of Pres. Assad and counterintuitive "inability" to help Assad and Putin rid Syria of the scourge of ISIS and al-Qaida.

Obama and his crew were, however, indifferent to the problems that U.S. support for ISIS, al-Qaida, and the Muslim Brotherhood (sic) caused Syria and they were determined to see Syria devolve into same the homicidal chaos that reigned after the senseless and utterly criminal assassination of Gaddafi and the destruction of the Libyan government. They were determined that "no peace be permitted to occur in the Middle East and that U.S.-Russian relations remain verboten".

As always, the deforming, supremacist influence of Israel is the bedrock of American M.E. policy.

The rise of the bullshitters:

The military’s indirect pathway [of cooperation] to Assad disappeared with Dempsey’s retirement in September 25th, 2015. His replacement as chairman of the Joint Chiefs, General Joseph Dunford, testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee in July 2015, two months before assuming office, “If you want to talk about a nation that could pose an existential threat to the United States, I’d have to point to Russia.”
