To be considered in the light of accounts of settlers dumping sewage near a Palestinian village and at least two accounts I know of of settlers cutting down olive trees of Palestinian farmers.

About home ownership. Depending on where you live Colonel your home may either increase or decrease in value. But you are not in one of those big collapsing cities so probably OK.
The next thing to come in the fascist blue States is property taxes which will drive people out. My daughter went to Canada a few years ago, married a woke conditioned social justice warrior, and they just [ against my advice ] bought a home in Quebec. I have spent my life doing journal ledgers on small property I owned and it is never what people think it is.,
New Zealand property taxes haven't reached California or Illinois rates yet, but we are on the way. Reak Estate agents and Lawyers in NZ are greed personified. I wanted to sell my home in Christchurch before the fascists come for me in other ways, but the costs are around $NZ35,000 to sell a home worth $NZ550,000 and these are largely upfront. I can't do it, so it's rented out at $NZ400 a week which with pension $400 a week just keeps me, all costs and here in Bangkok. Direct NZ home costs [ tax, insurance mmaintenance] are $90-100 a week.
