Wow - I wonder how many Muslims were maimed or killed by Christians over the centuries? Does that make Christianity an evil religion?
I'm afraid that it's a bit beyond my capabilities right now to tally up the depredations of Christians and Muslims since the death of Mohammed.
The 2,400 attacks mentioned in my post are noteworthy for their having happened in the last almost four years.

I don't know the precise count but I think that something like 30 conflicts around the world involve Muslims. The people who fly airlines into buildings, the teenage suicide bombers, the car bombers, the train bombers, the plane bombers, the people who chop off the heads of prisoners, etc. all just happen to be Muslims.
Now that is one HECK of a coincidence or there is something in the religion these zealots profess that encourages or demands violence against the kuffar.
Personally, I think the burden of proof is now on Muslims to show that Islam does indeed stand for peace and tolerance. The Muslim Brotherhood came into existence in Egypt long before the existence of Israel. The Muslim bombers of the Spanish trains began planning their murders before Spain ever sent troops to Iraq.
I think Islam is indeed the retrograde force Winston Churchill described and the dynamic fueled by Wahabi strictness of interpretation is keeping Muslims from enjoying the fruits of individual liberty and economic and scientific progress. At a gut level the fanatics understand this but cannot accept it. Accordingly, they troll the Islamic holy scriptures to justify their rage and violence.
They are never disappointed it would seem.
