Imploding European Democratic socialism.

The wonder of the Greek implosion was not that it came so soon, but rather — given the pan-European phenomena of early retirement, declining populations, bloated public sectors, and militant unionism — that it took so long. In some sense, the dream of the European Union — a continental democratic socialism that offered a Western liberal antithesis to the United States — is now finished.
But, as Mr. Hanson writes, that’s where [Klingon Fleet Admiral] Obama [and the Dems] want to take us too -- smack into that European swamp.

Be that sad reality as it may, unreal economics and politics have led to a prolonged fantasy life for Europeans. Soon they will wake up with busted economies and millions of hostile Muslims as their immediate neighbors. It will be as if a thick decades-long bank of fog will finally lift to reveal the civilizational madness. What didn't matter one whit to European twits before now will matter very much.

"The Other European Volcano." By Victor Davis Hanson, NationalReviewOnline, 5/14/10.
