This gent echoes my own sentiments that everyone is entitled to my opinion.
Regarding the 10-3 en banc decision of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit upholding the U.S. District Court injunction against President Trump’s executive order regarding travel and immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries:
The majority then launches into a litany of quotes from President Trump, his advisers, and his campaign website made during and after the election season of 2016, as proof that the travel ban represents a government “purpose” to favor one religion over another. Relying on Establishment Clause precedent that has never been applied in the immigration context, the court decided that the administration’s proffered purpose of keeping Americans safe from terrorism was a mere pretext for disfavoring the Islamic faith.[1]
God forbid that anyone would be so perverse as to conclude that Islam is rotten to its core and that anyone who calls himself a Muslim is a conscious adherent of a savage death cult that makes murder a sacrament.
And thus has no business in any civilized country.
The raw data attesting to the excellence of European statecraft are a daily flood.
Thousands of years of experience and the lessons learned from the savagery of modern warfare and totalitarian excess in the last century inform the leadership of France and Britain such that:
The British Army is patrolling the streets of the home country,
France is under a state of emergency,
both countries are awash with hostile and parasitic foreigners whose presence is celebrated and viciously defended by the political elites of those countries, and
the inestimably valuable national cultures of the two countries are disappearing into a fine mist with a faint odor to it like that surrounding a broken sewer line.
No word in yet whether the ruling elite in either of those countries have been able to discern a connection between items 1, 2, 3, and 4 above.
For now, incautious cries of "Oh, dear" are heard at dinner parties from posh people with just a bit too much to drink.
Polish textbooks are not full of absurd but obligatory profiles of the marginal contributions of various historical figures just because they are from “underrepresented” groups. While American students learn yet again about how the U.S. Constitution was secretly influenced by the Iroquois Confederacy or the many uses for the peanut discovered by George Washington Carver, Polish students are studying advanced mathematics, literature, or mechanics.
Ethnic homogeneity allows Poles to have common heroes, cultural traditions, and a history of their own, passed down to younger generations through public schools. While support for every aspect of the curriculum is by no means unanimous, Poland doesn’t have to juggle the demands of bickering ethnic tribes demanding equal time for their historical narratives. American school districts have to deal with “demographic changes” and an ever-expanding list of dietary laws, dress codes, cultural standards, religious holidays, and demands for various forms of accommodation but Polish schools can focus on teaching the story of the Polish people. The biggest social issue to spill over into education is probably the presence of crucifixes in public schools, and they aren’t going to disappear any time soon.

The Polish educational system gets great results because it educates Poles and not Somalis, Guatemalans or Bangladeshis.

The subtitle of Ms. Hymowitz's piece speaks of racial "gaps in education." Nope. It's about racial "gaps in culture," the unwillingness of young blacks African-Americans (choose one) to be a part of the larger community. White community to be exact.
But let's celebrate the joys of diversity. Let's do that. And as mass immigration and demography inexorably work to make white Americans a majority minority in our own country, which tickles Whoopi [cushion] Goldberg no end, let's celebrate the reign of anarchy. Where we, like the school guards in this article, look the other way while primitives take over.

The ruling establishment is too strong and too deeply entrenched on both sides of the Atlantic to allow for any departure from the elite consensus on an important issue. That much is clear from Trump’s serial U-turns—on détente with Russia, on regime change in Syria, on the future of NATO and the usefulness of the European Union, on NAFTA and the grand strategy of global dominance.[1]
Pres. Trump's U-turn on these matters reflects either an extraordinarily dishonest and opportunistic personality or the extraordinary power of The Establishment or the Deep State, or the moneyed interests, frame it how you will.
I don't care for the character-assassination style of American politics or the ad hominem fixation of the left in practically every debate. Trump's not a man who seems to be a conceptual thinker and his use of Twitter may fairly be said to reveal a certain impulsiveness and unwillingness to stay focused on what is really important. That said, it has served him well in enabling him to bypass the media and speak directly to millions in ways that I don't quite grasp, having as I do no interest in "tweeting" anything. My blog is narcissistic enough as it is.
However, I think Trump is possessed of considerable common sense, is a kind and decent man, and is possessed of a visceral patriotism that I think millions of his supporters understood very clearly. When you think about a man like French president Macron (and Sarkozy and Hollande before him) you see complete contempt for the nation he leads. Obama was the same. A cipher who lived to abase himself before the nearest hotel doorman or jumped up prince who happened to be born on top of several gigatons of oil and gas. Trump is not any of that.
MAGA and the absence of any desire to play in the globalist sandbox are sincerely held precepts of his.
Thus, Trump's actions are explicable only by positing enormous political power wielded by his opponents in the Deep State, particularly as his opponents have the power to destroy what he has built in his business career. So far as I know, Trump's electoral victory was obtained without his having to kowtow to big money. However, the fortune that enabled him to get elected may be what ultimately makes him vulnerable to financial retaliation. As you may have read, Soros and others have reportedly forgiven Trump "hundreds of millions of dollars" in debt[2] and Soros has also reported given Trump's son-in-law a $250 million line of credit.
These are examples of positive inducements. I am sure there are negative ones that Trump did not foresee . . . and which have been hinted at.
The ominous thing in all of this is what Trifkovic raised without further discussion: the possibility that people who don't fancy their ancestral home's becoming a third-world latrine and no-go zone for whites will conclude that elections cannot change things.
An odd development for a civilization that has chased the universal franchise like the Holy Grail.
Alexander Shulgin, Russian Representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), is interviewed in the video below by Oksana Boyko on RT.
Mr. Shulgin comes across as a man firmly committed to the OPCW and the role it is meant to play in investigating allegations of chemical weapons use. The sincerity and decency of this man is obvious and Ms. Boyko was extremely well informed about the subject of her interview.
Russians officials and media people come across as serious and decent people (when they're not being wickedly funny) and not at all like the caricatures some of our commentators hold up. Exhibits A and B: LTC Ralph ("Putin's a racist") Peters and GEN Jack ("Soviets on the march") Keane (ret.).
Don't look for anything of this quality on Fox, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, etc. With some exceptions (Seymour Hersh, Jack Cashill, Sharyl Attkisson, Diana West, Jim Simpson, Tucker Carlson, for example), they are not interested in doing their jobs.
It's clear that the U.S. has zero interest in having the OPCW investigate the incident in Khan Sheikhoun, Syria, on April 4, 2017, thereby making clear that this incident is thick with political calculation. Obstruction and avoidance of finding out what happened and who was responsible are what's on the menu.
The White House statement on the Khan Sheikhoun incident proves nothing and Pres. Trump is committed to a dishonest version of events, all in aid of a strategy that is risky and unwise, and that guarantees we will remain committed to the disastrous policies of Barack Hussein Obama.

This doesn't come close to describing the communist horror.

Secretary Mattis thinks that "a nation in the region" evinces a "lack of respect for international law."
Well, let's keep a close eye on that outlaw nation, for sure. Still, for the U.S. to have waged aggressive war against Libya and Syria for quite some time now, replete with our support for (and association with) the scum of the earth in the process, it's pretty rich for Mattis to complain about "someone else" not observing international law.
Syria is not waging war against the U.S. and no authorization from the U.N. has issued for any nation(s) to wage war against the sovereign state of Syria, itself a member of the United Nations. So, maybe it's just me but the principled behavior of the U.S. in observing international law in the Middle East just isn't that visible.
