I gather it's in the category of "No Time for Sergeants" which I remember from decades ago now shrouded in mist. I think I read the book.
Anyway, I look forward to watching it. You might also enjoy the audio tapes of the late Preston Ransome whose take on military humor is delightful. I am sure there are printed versions of his work. He went on after the Army to work in Hollywood.
