Give us Israel and we promise we'll be good.

Osama's losing his grip up there in those caves. When all you've got to do each day is dream up new videos to post on Youtube your life is not what you'd actually call "significant" any more:

Osama bin Laden said in a new audio recording released Friday [5/16/08] that al-Qaida will continue its holy war against Israel and its allies until it liberates Palestine. [After it recovers from having the bejezeezus kicked out of it in Iraq.]

Bin Laden said the fight for the Palestinian cause was the most important factor driving al-Qaida’s war with the West and fueled 19 Muslims to carry out the suicide attacks against the U.S. on September 11. [Next most important: too many beer commercials on televised NASCAR events.]

“To Western nations ... this speech is to understand the core reason of the war between our civilization and your civilizations. I mean the Palestinian cause,” said bin Laden in the close to 10 minute audiotape.

“The Palestinian cause is the major issue for my (Islamic) nation. [We get it! We get it! It's the most important issue. Transmission received.] It was an [we thought it was "the." 'S up with "an"?] important element in fueling me from the beginning and the 19 others with a ["the"?] great motive to fight for those subjected to injustice and the oppressed,” added bin Laden.

Here I thought it was a 1,400-year habit of Muslim slavery, oppression, rape, and slaughter that was enjoying a resurgence, but, no, it's all about Israel and the attendant injustices visited on recent Arab immigrants to Palestine the Palestinians that drives it ALL.

Does this strike anyone else besides me as laughable? I visited the excellent Religion of Peace today and reproduce the following to shed a little light on Osama's worsening mental condition. Where you see "Iraq" below just substitute "Palestine":

...and pretty much wherever Muslims believe their religion tells them to:

"Fight those who do not believe in Allah, ... nor follow the religion of truth... until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection."
