Obama. Card-carrying Socialist.

Notes From A Retired Preacher has the low down on the long and the short of Obama’s having been a member of the Socialist “New Party.” The New Party is a party that was established by the Democratic Socialists of America.

It’s there. In black and white. This man is not a man of this country. He might make a great president of some country somewhere, but he has no business being within a day’s ride on a mule of the White House of this country.

It’s a disgrace that enough American voters gave their support to this pathetically confused conniver in thrall to Frank Marshall, the communist; Jeremiah Wright, the Black Liberation Theology freak and Farrakhan devotee; and Khalid al-Mansour, a Wahhabi U.S. shill; among others.

"Is Barack Hussein Obama a Socialist?" By Jack, Notes From A Retired Preacher, 10/9/08.

Col,

Thanks for the shout-out.

I will cross-post your post in my comments.

Your linguistic skills make your article much more appealing.

In Christ,

Thanks, Jack. The jury is out on my linguistic skills. Given my modest number of visitors the jury may since have been paid and gone home for Christmas dinner, truth be known.

But I continue the Lord's work of suppressing inconvenient truth and propagating insults and half truths about Democrats. What else is there to live for?

Thank you Col. You & bro. Jack are heroes of mine, though I haven't had the pleasure of actually meeting either of you gentlemen personally yet!
Yet you are right. I still pray enough decent Americans like yourselves will get out on 11/4 & keep this awful man out of the White House 4 more years at least. God Bless.

Thanks, Mr. Wyatt,

I appreciate your very kind words. It's nice to know that what I write doesn't always fall in amongst the stones and thorns.

There was a good movie called "The Accidental Tourist." I think we're now about to see "The Accidental President." I guardedly say we will weather the storm of an Obama presidency. Churchill it was, I think, who said something like "democracy is like a raft that's partially submerged. Your feet are wet all of the time, but at least [the rest of you is dry and] you remain out of the water."

This unfortunate concatenation of circumstances could turn around in a heartbeat if Americans woke up. As the great Marcus Aurelius said, "Within ten days thou wilt seem a god to those to whom thou art now a beast and an ape, if thou wilt return to thy principles and the worship of reason."

Still, this is a bit of a false hope. The Europeans and English have gone a long way down the socialist and multicultural yellow brick road and still don't show much sign of returning to their principles.

I guess it has to get really bad before people wake up. Maybe Reagan didn't do us a favor. He arrived to turn the ship around while 45 years of Democrat ascendancy hadn't completely revealed the bankruptcy of the statist, internationalist approach.

It's what we all need to do now, frankly. Return to first principles. This "who shot John" kind of politics is instructive to a point, but what it amounts to is a complete failure to discuss, advocate, defend, and preserve limited government. We don't have a very systematic approach to this, though the blogosphere certainly helps.
