President Sunshine.

The Obama Administration doesn’t even acknowledge that fossil fuels account for over 85% of world energy demand. But what does it harp on?
Instead [of acknowledging fossil fuel realities] there is constant rhetoric about solar (the president's favorite during the campaign), wind and "advanced biofuels" which, when combined, are not likely to account for more than 1% or 2% of the world energy demand over the next several decades.
To restate that, for the “next several decades,” say, 20 years, hippy energy sources will contribute pretty much nothing to a real solution to our energy problems.

Nothing.

But they are what capture the imagination of the president. Not for nothing did he spend that time as a Saul Alinsky acolyte and chalice bearer for Rev. Jeremiah Wright. That’s where you learn the hard realities of our energy situation.

Chinese drilling off shore in the Gulf? No sweat. No. The really important thing is for us to focus on the trivial.

It’s like we need 1,000 gallons of oil per hour to drive a battleship but Obama thinks we can do the job with magnifying glasses to focus sunbeams on the boilers.

For night operations, we'd practice lying in wait.
