Is nothing sacred?

I thought the USA had an absolute lock on hypersanctimonious, oleaginous, fatuous, naïve global grandstanding but . . . we have been relegated to second place by the darn Spaniards under the leadership of Spanish National Court Judge Fernando Andreu. He’s bored with playing Mah Jong on his computer and torqued about “the targeted assassination" in 2002 of Salah Shehadeh, Hamas military commander in Gaza City.

His Honor wants to target the Israeli officials allegedly responsible for this terrific contribution to the peace process heinous crime and he has Spanish law behind him that will allow him to meddle in any number of complex affairs far from Spanish shores:
Spanish law allows the prosecution of foreigners for such crimes as genocide, crimes against humanity and torture committed anywhere in the world if the suspects will not be tried in their home country.
Spain! The perfect world cleanup squad to tackle injustice wherever it can be found or imagined.

When he’s done with Israel he can clean up Cuba, N. Korea, and Burma. A gutsy, ambitious judge should never be satisfied with a job only half done. And the Spanish Army's got time on its hands I hear.
