Channeling Winston.

Some attribute to Churchill the observation that "Americans can always be trusted to do the right thing, once all other possibilities have been exhausted." The following choice comment is along those lines:
[From Einstein101 comment:] Yeah, trump wants to have all the options, he will not start a war with Iran. But Iran needs to be aware that this option is on the table.
Yeah every option is always on the Washingtonians table save for having a workable and viable approach to foreign policy and a good strategy and good plan. Every option is always on the Washingtonians table except for a workable peaceful solution since they're basically brainless, clueless, hopeless, and hapless, inept & incompetent idiots. . . .[1]

The insanity quickly spreads to New Zealand and Australia. Pulling down statues is the prescribed treatment for Economic and social collapse. There are no tourists left here in Thailand. Tourism Was a massive part of the economy. We have to stand in certain places, no not there, or there, here, you can stand here, no don't sit down, can you not see the crosses, sign in, wear hijabs. All medically contraindicated. I expect a recession here followed by a depression. Where to live? God knows.
The only signs of life in the house markets in NZ and Australia will be in small rural communities. People fleeing the upgraded new Police States.

The doctrine of unintended consequences is resurgent and in full flower. Reason is insufficient in trying to understand it or reverse this. Only catastrophe will work the necessary reset in man's thinking.
